Asking For Father, Male 85, Raiwind
My father's knees pain too much, that's why he walks very slowly. according to xray report, there is gap in his knee's bones.He has also become very weak during last one year.We feel no benefit of medicines which he is using.He also remains very sad and forgets very soon. Orthopedic surgeon said that he needs injections in knees or operation, but he doesn't want both. please suggest any solutions for him.

Post xrays here... if osteoarthritis is at advance stage which is likely the possibility here, then I'm afraid medicines will no longer be effective.
Injections can be tried for pain relief.

Well, this is quite advanced stage of osteoarthritis. Even injections might not work here but still an option worth trying if u want to delay joint replacement surgery.

I have a third surgical option which is neither TKR nor UKR But a limited osteotomy of fibula with good results
