After 6 months of age circumcision should be done under sedation with local anesthesia. That's painless and safe

Usually general anaesthesia is not needed. At 2yrs age this procedure can be done in sedation along with local anaesthesia. Patient can be discharged within 04hrs of the procedure.

Thanks to both of you for the prompt reply. I was really hesitating to do it with general anesthesia as there are some studies that suggests the negative effects of general anesthesia on young kids.

1. How long will it take to totally recover?

2. Which method is most suitable that gives max (post surgery) comfort to the kid ?

Best option would be an open technique done under minimal inhalation anesthesia.
