Talk to Pediatrician on 2year Old Has Not Started Talking

Assalam O Alaikum my 2year old son has not started talking yet. he achieved Other milestones at right age, he is just late im talking. he make sounds very less and mostly use hand signs for making us understand. his nature is quite aggressive. we try to communicate with him a lot so that he speak to us but still no progress. should i need to worry??

his hearing normal?
If his hearing is normal we need to know a little bit more about him. Does he draw your attention by pointing at objects? Does he have unusual or intense interests? Does he get upset if his routine is changed? Is he afraid of loud noises?

he draw our attention and quickly respond. he is intelligent and his actions seems like he is 3year old.

there is one problem with him, he eat choona pages etc. i am giving him calcium and iron syrups.

yes Dr he point towards things he is interested.
he is having unusual interest in Paints, pages etc these kind of things for eating purpose.
he is not upset if his routine change.
he is not afraid of loud noise or darkness.

I still believe that it would be beneficial if you get your child evaluated in Developmental Paediatrics Department at Children Hospital, Lahore. He may also need to have his hearing checked in Audiology Department of that Hospital. Eating paint and papers may be due to iron deficiency but it can be a behavioural problem.
