I am confident that your child will recover Inshallah. every doc has its own ways and opinions on a particular case. He will recover IA. Only you have to give him med timely and confidently. I also wish that he don't have to take steroids.

First of all ur child need to be examined properly by a child specialist , specially his chest . As for as allergic conditions are concerned, u need to be extra careful about ur child , whenever ur child is going out r u r doing dusting inside home , make sure ur child is wearing a face mask. Make a routine of regular gargles with saline water . This will help to avoid chest congestion. But if once chest gets wheezy , u need to consult a child specialist to get proper treatment.

See normally we all breathe through nose . The air we inhale is always full of dust , so when we r inhaling through nose , the dust particles in air get trapped in hairs inside nose, now the air is free of dust , n while this clean air is passing through nose , it also get warm, so through nose we inhale clean warm air. But with nasal congestion we all start mouth breathing , n stat inhaling air full of dust in mouth , resulting in pharyngitis.

Get Serum IgE level done from lab. then consult online for further guidance, it is necessary to visit physically to child specialist for auscultation of chest.
