Aoa
kindly follow the doctor advice record the fever .
aftrr the course completion do visit the same doctor. ask him to repeat the test , and also do G6PD
might need another medication for 14 days
but that will be decided by your primary consultant.

Also Follow preventive measures, keep your house clean , apply mosquito repelants etc

It could be either reinfection in which case needs to take preventive measure of mosquito bite. Or it could be recrudescence( initial infection infection not completely eradicated) in which case she needs primaquin for 2 weeks after treatment with Artem.

Doctor girl can use Premaquin tablets someone tell me Premaquin just use only Male petiant is that true I am confused

Pediatrician in Lahore - Dr. Javed Arshad

This is not true, you have to check herG6PD status prior to starting primaquin as this medicine can cause severe anaemia due to haemolysis if she is deficient in G6PD , your doctor will explain to you in case this medicine to be used.

Asslamualikum.it’s is necessary to know that malaria disease is caused by a parasite and it has four main species 1.falciparum2.vivax 3.ovale 4.malarie and all of them has its own fever patter.from them vivax and ovale is associated with relapse fever means reoccurrence of fever if they are not properly eradicated because they have ability to stay in liver cells so commen drugs we use don’t target parasite residing in liver.so coming to your answer your daughter reports show she has vivax malaria it’s most probably a relapse fever for which must get primaquine for 14days but after being tested for G6PD enzyme deficiency.you should go to your primary physician and discuss all this InshawAllah she will be fine.
