Asking for Other, Male, 0.7 years old, Karachi
My son is eight months old. I am giving him bf, Similac and other semi solid food. My query is that he always passes green coloured or blackish stool I don't remember either he has poo normally or not.. is it normal? Second thing I need to ask he is always thirsty and drinks water more than he drinks milk. His too much urge for water makes me worried. His weight is 7.5 kg..
which no of milk u r giving?green stool means food is not properly digested in the body...kindly consult on video call
probably effect of similac and diet that he is passing green colour poo. u need to check how many diapers he changes daily to count urine output and intake of water
The contents of earlier part of breastfeeds can cause stools to turn green. Do not change sides too quickly and let the baby empty the breast first. All milks, whether formula or breast milk, are 83% water. A 6 to12 month infant does not need 4 to 8 ounces of water per day. Feed him on breasts if you think he is thirsty. Give him solid and keep him on breastfeeds only. That is best for a baby.
