Our daughter is 20 months old. She has severe sleeping difficulty at night. She wakes up crying several times during the night. For the first two hours, she sleeps well and after that, she wakes up every 10 to 15 mins. She sleeps with her mouth open and faces difficulty in breathing. We went to the doctor and he referred us for a sinus x-ray. Our follow-up appointment is after one month. Kindly explain the report so we are prepared for our follow-up appointment. btw history and x-ray report is showing adenoids enlargement.. which is causing difficulty in sleeping and is mouth breather... but there is solution to it Insha Allah

Doctor thanks for the reply. Our hospital here in Saudi Arabia provided us with the written report only. Since the x-ray report will be discussed at our follow-up appointment which is after one month. How to treat this adenoid enlargement in a 20-month-old baby? Thanks.

does she has recurrent throat infections? if it regularly disturbing the sleep and recurrent infections,surgery would be the option. otherwise conservative management

she is mostly active in the daytime. However, she gets very cranky out of the blue. She is still eating food in puree form. Whenever we try to give her solid, she had a feeling of nausea.
She takes a 1 hour to 1 hour 30 min nap at around 2 pm.

Yes doctor, loud snoring when she is sleeping at night. When she started feeling uncomfortable after 2 hours of sleep then she put her face on her mother's face and then try to sleep there. If her mother put her on her bed place then she starts crying. Sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the night and asks us to turn on the light so she can play for 2 straight hours. This happens when she is feeling restless during night sleep.
