Dear Doctors, my 3.5 years old daughter is complaining of pain in her stomach for last few day specially after eating, and she doesn’t even want to eat any thing.. also she has fever for last 3 days. Please advise us in this issue.. thanks

It is not uncommon for children to refuse to eat when they are unwell. How high is the fever? Is the vomiting recurrent? What is the colour of vomitus? Are there any other symptoms such as diarrhoea, runny nose, cough or burning sensation while passing urine, associated with fever? Give her Syrup Calpol according to age and weight both for abdominal pain and fever 4 to 6 hourly until we know its underlying cause.
