Let me analyze this carefully(Dony give self medication):

- Your baby is 2 months old, which is a little early for routine iron or vitamin D supplemention

- However, the pediatrician had prescribed it after the previous check-up, likely due to some risk factors in your baby.

- At 2 months of age, breastmilk/formula is still the main source of nutrition including vitamins/minerals for most babies.

- Iron or vitamin D supplements may have been advised only temporarily to cover any deficiency until solid foods are introduced regularly at 6 months.

Given the above:

- consult with us on continuing the supplements. They would have assessed your baby's individual requirements.

- Premature/low birth weight babies sometimes need short-term supplementation.

- If no high-risk factors, supplements may no longer be clinically indicated at this stage of feeding.

- child specialist consultation is best placed to re-evaluate and adjust the supplementation plan based on your baby's current growth, feeding and any complications.

I'd recommend discussing this in detail during your baby's next scheduled check-up. Proper medical guidance is important when considering supplements, especially for young infants. Do let me know if you have any other concerns!
