My Son is 46 days old now, Recently I spotted some swelling on right side near his groin. but that little bulge come and goes. when he cries or struggle to pass out gas then that bulge occurs but when the baby is relaxed (not crying) or sleeping then I see no swelling or bulge. I consulted two child specialist near me ,they referred me to paediatric surgeon in M.H HospitalÛ” I went there they examined my son's groan area and said it is an Inguinal Hernia and surgery is the only option to cure it then they gave me a date of operation within a week. I'm also attaching that report. I'm confused in making decision Kindly Suggest me and guide me what should I do now? 1)- Should I immediately go for a surgery or should I wait for three months so baby can grow up little more. 2)- I want to know that Is that bulge of inguinal hernia causes pain to baby or not? What should I do now? 3)- Should I go for homeopathic treatment, is there any cure in that? Kindly guide me well so I can make the

kindly tell me the symptoms of emergency situation when I should rush to the hospital. and brother this minor surgery is costing me 35k. I'm from a middle class family. it would take me some time to arrange that amount.

emergency situations will be :
hernia swelling come out and can't be pulled back.
patient develop severe pain due to constipation
or
greenish vomiting by the patient

ok thanks. From past 2 days his swelling is not coming out but very little. he vomit only milky liquid because he is on mother's feed only. thanks for your cooperation. very helpful. JAZAAK-ALLLAH

I went to two child specialist they recommended me to go to the Military Hospital Rawalpindi. I went there and rest of the story I had mentioned in my question. I'm still in search for an experienced paedriatic surgeon in some government hospital Rawalpindi. thanks

Bro! I am from Peshawar so I've little knowledge about rawalpindi but I'll let you know f I get any information. but the thing is that the more competent the surgeon is, the more costy it'll be

when he was born his weight was 3k.g. I have not measured his weight again. I'm assuming it would be in between 4 to 5 k.g now. but I'm just guessing.
