Talk to Pediatrician on Milestones Delay
Asking For Someone else, Son, Male, 0 Years old, Islamabad
My son is 7 months old. He was IUGR baby was born with 2.1kgs only. Now his weight is 7+ kgs but still he can’t sit by his own. I just want to know whom I should consult and please refer me a good dr in Islamabad.

if he can sit with support and holds his neck then no need to worry
wait upto 9 months
by 6 m, sit with support
by 8 m, sit without support , if this time, unable to sit, this is not good sign.
is he able to fix eyes , follow objects, make sounds ??

Yes Al hamd O lillah. He is a playful kid. Making eye contact, respond well, make sounds, follow objects and grab them to put in his mouth. Know his name, love to interact with people. Very social.

if he will sit with support then it's normal at 9months he will sit without support so wait don't need to be worry about that uptil now two milestone is achieved normally

Controlling head, sitting with support. Weaning 2 times a day with spoon. Semi solids. Like fruit purees, cereal and cerelac etc. responding well, make a lot of sounds, love to interact with people.

tht good take an assessment checkup at 9months nowa this stage you have to focus on
1.weaning
it's most important part 6-1year you have to focus more because in this age baby learn easily (habit of eating foods)

strt weaning properly
add vit D drops
give massage and exercise
1. Good weight.
2. Developmentally, Neck holding at 5- 6 months, Sitting at 8- 10 months, some time late.
3. Start to give Vit.D drops 2drops daily.
4. No need for Consultation.

visit child specialist to rule out underlying defect n then start Physiotherapy as soon as possible....
