I am sorry this App does not support Urdu. You may Google translate my post. Your child was operated for the Birth Defect of Open Spinal Column with involvement of Nerves (Meningomyeocoele). This birth defect is the cause of weakness of legs in your child. If your son does not have control over passage of urine and stools he needs follow up with Child Urologist or at least Child Surgeon. If not previously placed your child may need a pipe (Ventriculoperitoneal shunt) placed between head and abdomen to prevent Large Head (Hydrocephalus) and damage to brain. So a Child Brain Surgeon or Child Neurosurgeon must also see your son and follow him up. Your wife must take Folic Acid during all her next pregnancies.

Generally speaking, after such types of operations, it is really difficult to recover. Many nerves are cut during such procedures and once cut they don’t regenerate. So now after years of operation, we do not have too much hope that surgeon will be able to reconnect the nerves yet I suggest to consult some neurosurgeon who can do microscopic surgery. May be he would like to reoperate and correct few of these things.

I have checked the reports. My suggestion is same. Plz contact some expert microscopic neurosurgeon for further management. A good physiotherapist and I repeat a GOOD physiotherapist can also help your child. The presence of sensations is very good sign. Where r u located?
