My son was 3.4 kgs when born now after 11 days he has lost 600 gms and has jaundice. He latches fine and sucks well. My supply is fine too but after feeding for even 45 mins he cries after 15 mins and demands feed again. What should i do? Please help. I tried giving him formula but he takes no more than 1oz. Please please help me

Usually baby loose their weight in first wk & gradually started to gain weight as they take more feed. Might be yr feed is not enough. However try to encourage maximum breast feed. Wt will increase gradually. Regarding jaundice, majority of babies have physiological jaundice & it will resolve with time but if yellowness increasing, check for serum bilirubin level total, direct & indirect.
Weight loss in initial 2 weeks is normal , you need to improve feeding techniques and if it is proper Athar you should take good balance diet and plenty of water for excessive milk production, better not to give formula milk, you can take the following medication 1. Tab theregran-H(1+1), cap Hi lacta (1+1)
