Jam 21 weeks pregnant Alhamdulilah, yesterday was my anomaly scan. I have been told that left kidney of my baby is a bit swollen. What does this mean? Is it very harmful? What is the possible cause of it? Any precaution? Report is attached. A very worried 1st timer mom.

Don't worry after delivery get renal scan of the baby and examination by some pediatrician. Many times there are findings in

ultrasound ,which are resolved by the time baby is delivered.

Two things are important here at 21 weeks....
1. A good scan showing the exact parameters etc.
2. most of the time this dilataion of renal pelvis regress with time and sometimes if not too worse resolve after birth in few weeks...

Repeat scan after 4 weeks from some good sonologist and share report.....
At the moment no intervention is required so dont worry......
