Get him examined by a pediatric surgeon. This is not something to be taken lightly. In this scenario detailed history and examination is required before giving any medication/treatment.

Here's how I would explain this scenario:

It's quite common for newborns around 2 weeks of age to experience constipation and colic. Their digestive systems are still developing, so processing foods and having regular bowel movements can be an adjustment.

A few things could be causing this baby's stomach to feel hard. First, constipation often presents as a swollen, hard abdomen since stool is backed up in the intestines instead of passing regularly. For babies exclusively breastfeeding, the milk they consume is very nutrient-dense but low in fiber. This can slow transit time through the digestive tract.

Colic is also extremely common in the second week of life. It's caused by immaturity of the baby's digestive, nervous and gastrointestinal systems. Their tender abdomen may feel extra tense, hard and swollen during a colic episode due to the excess gas and cramping they experience.

To help relieve the baby's discomfort, gentle massage of the abdomen and bicycling the legs can help dislodge any gas pockets. Warm baths before feeding may also relax their stomach muscles. Ensuring the mother's diet avoids common allergens like dairy could help if colic is being caused by an intolerance. Breastfeeding on demand encourages good stool production.

If constipation persists more than a few days without improvement with massage or changing feeding routine/position,then Seek prompt medical advice if abdomen appears more severely distended or baby shows other signs of illness like fever or lethargy
