No, only give him motherfeed or formula milk, no need of any other liquid if he's active.

nop no water before 6 month only breastfeed or formula in correct prepration. kidneys cant handle the extra water and salt load just avoid dehydration by giving feed on demand
only motherfeed the best option ....
