Tingling numbness is due to nerve compression. If there is no nerve compression then its due to vitamin b deficiency

With this limited information ,apparently your husband seems to be a office worker with prolong duty/sitting hours.If its so than it is highly recommended
1) To avoid prolong sitting above 30 mints .
2) To check proper computer/back seat condition.Use molty back care cushion.
3)Move around the office for 5 mints than take your seat.
4)Avoid high pillow/watching TV/cell phone use while lying on bed.
5)Gently apply deep heat cream on back/neck

Long sitting can be avoided in this condition.
