First of all Get your uric acid and vitamin D levels test done. Second of all try to climb stairs with your leg which has less pain and then use the other leg. Use any topical pain relieving gel such as (Iceyhot power gel) on your knees. It would be great if you consult a physio to get it assessed thoroughly.

it should be gout due to increased levels of uric acid or degenerative changes due to aging depending upon Morning stiffness in joints present or not or if radiating pain is also presented then there is a chance of pinched or compressed nerve so please do visit to any nearest Physiotherapist

The pain in the tempporal area and other parts can be due to muscular issue or can be headache related. It can also be checked physically.
