After an accident, Dr. inserted a rod in my left thigh. After one month exercise, my knee bends only a few degree. Please advise some exercise for quick recovery. Thank you.

you need a proper treatment by physiotherapist. he/she will give moblization to knee cap (patella) and knee glides to improve you ROM. As the extension contracture of leg after surgery are very strong to break.

assalam ul alikum 1st of all you need a proper therapy under supervision of certified therapist other than that you need to do some hip stretches to activate your flexors and extensor muscle at the same time u need to work on hip abductors and adductors to and for knee you need to warm up your knee first before you starting your strengthening exercise you can search on the youtube how to do knee strengthening exercises for and also search range of motion exercise those are not vigorous and you can do easily at home those practice will definitely improving your ranges but you have to be regular if u aim to start rehabilite yourself once thankyou
being an OT I advised you some productive and functional activities for your lower limb your knee like place a football in front of your chair and push the ball away from your body this will definitely improving your range of motion of knee joint gradually you can add a little bit weight onto it to strengthen your muscles around knee joint this will increase your range gradually but I must say it will be more beneficially when you do it regularly three to 4 times a day. thankyou
post op physio takes time to get required ROM's. you can not claim for quick recovery. Physiotherapist has to follow weekly protocols in post op case. So please have some patience and get your proper seasions.
dont use any modality like tens etc.. ap heating pad use kar sakhty and sath may kuch exercises like QUADS ISOMETRIC, ANKLE PUMPING... these are basic exercises
Because you are post operative dont do over exercise.If there is spasticity in muscles you can use hot pack and gel like declofinic sodium.Try to mobilize your joints do exercise such sa ROM ,isometrics in pain free range also do ankle pumping .For complete recovery it takes time but you have to continue with patience InshaAllah you will get recovery soon.For further guidance in detail you can take appointment for online consultation from me I am available every time
