define the pain type!! if any numbness or heaviness feels must need proper assessment of your cervical spine (neck vertebra) either it is involved or any co-relation with your condition. if not then there might be some muscle weakness which results in muscular spasm ultimately causing stiffness or restriction of related areas. apply heating 15-20mins, then stretching of related muscles and isometrics. but you need this to be evaluated by some good physiotherapist.
