I have depression issue psychiatrist diagnosis me health anxiety i keep checking medication online what about their reviews and research work, previously i used paroxetine for 6 months and escitalopram for 2 weeks because of side effects dr now prescribed me prothiaden 75mg (1) Need to know other psychiatrist is this medication is right for me? (2) Is this drug is addictive? Or causes any problem in withdrawal? (3) How long should i take this medication?
Yes its alright. Better to use it with SSRI i.e ecitalopram or paroxetine whatever you like. U can use it upto 9 months. According to your symptoms your dr will tapper it off. Once u get feeling. Don’t worry abt side effects.
better to continue this med if it is doing better for u. no drug is addictive, but u need to follow your doctor's advise while discontinuing it.
