My sister is chronic schizophrenic and OCD patients she is more than 2 years on treatment feeling somewhat better but not perfectly alright.she is on 200mg zoloft clozapine 100mg clomipril 150mg resperidone 2mg and also a fluephenazine injection once a month.she wakes up 2 O clock in evening and sleeps at 10 O clock at night. Also she perspires a lot during whole day after doing a very minor task she drenches in sweat.her depression is better social anxiety schizophrenia and OCD all are better but her thinking and problem solving capabilities are not satisfactory.also she cannot pursue her studies due to memory issues. She used to be super intelligent before getting these mental illnesses. she cannot marry as she cannot smartly deal a family due to weak cognitive abilities. I have read on internet that several medici
cognitive decline is there as part of medicines needed to stabilize her and as part of schizophrenia symptoms
you need a family education session to make you aware of expectations in recovery and options for psychosocial rehabilitation
though this disease is treatable but not curable
but it can increase performance of patient by social support ,family support and compliance to the medication and proper follow up and it may reduces the severity of the condition
This needs a detail assessment and a treatment plan according.
