Asking For Self, Male 19, Hyderabad

Hey everyone.

I went through a sudden rise in blood pressure 4 years back.

And from then, I'm experiencing panic attacks, overthinking and different phobias.

I feel completely normal when I take an anti-depressant but I haven't continuously taken any nor I'm dependent on any.

I'm 19 years old now and can't focus on anything productive.

I try to overcome all the problems by myself but when I make a little progress the problem comes back and I've to start it all over again and this keeps on repeating.

I'm always thinking inner part of my body which scares me and causes panic attacks where I start screaming like an idiot.

Please, suggest me what should I do?

Should I take anti depressants to assist myself making the progress or what else?

Please help me, I don't want to live my whole life that.

This is my peak age to do something big but my problems come in way.

Please help me.

Psychiatric medicines are not enough for your problem. You have to take psychotherapy also. As you are quite young to take psychiatric medicines. please focus on taking psychological treatment.

step 1-
go back on antidepressant immediately ( same medication and same dose)

step 2-
prepare yourself to take such medication for next several years as early onset generally indicates severe illness and not so good prognosis , however in your case this may not be the case ,now having treatment means your condition is getting worse and level of recovery might curtailed
seeing a psychologist cannot be opposed
lastly avoid stress in short term
consult psychiatrist on 3 monthly basis even if well for next 12 months
