Dear psychiatrists.. how to deal with rivotril (clonazepam) withdrawl after taking it 3 months? intense anger.. headache..restlessness of mind ..drowziness are the symptoms right now.

one way is to substitute it with other benzo , clonazepam is intermediate acting benzo .replacing it with valium(diazepam) which is long acting for 2 weeks is goof option. Long term treatment needs identification of underlying cause and giving appropriate treatment

sir..its been two months i have quitted rivotril.i used it for 3 months and in next 15 days i reduced its intake and then stopped.Now my nerves feel hurt in head...should i go for treatment or for valium only?

yes you are right..but valium is short.i could not find anywhere in rwp.a doctor suggested me as you said.

we need to taper it down instead of stopping abruptly. and next you should get evaluated first for your symptoms, for a better treatment option

i have stopped it in 15 days by reducing it...from 5 drops to 3...then 2...
dont know i did it right or not?

As most of my colleagues would agree, one should not be using Benzodiazepines for more than 4 weeks as per new guidelines in treatment of Anxiety/Depression.
Gradual withdrawal after full psychiatric evaluation is important.Adulthood onset anxiety symptoms are “ Usually” secondary to Depression which might respond better to SSRIs and psychotherapeutic measures.

sir you are right.The psychiatrist did not tell me to stop this medicine.He told me after 3 months that i should not to use it daily.how could i know :/
now i am in trouble.another psychiatrist prescribd valium but valium is short.i can't find :(
