You can learn these skills in psychotherapy which is conducted by a clinical psychologist. You do not require medicine for now.
Most of the time, we have someone in our life that we are much attached with, Even if parents have 4 or 5 children in which the one or two are most loved ones although all children are same for parents. Sometime, too much dependency means we are lazy to do something If we search our weaknesses and work on it and strengthen the weaker side then it would be the best way to detach from someone in a healthy way.
