If you have symptoms since 2014 and having still issue after stoping it that means that means you should continue it . But take proper consultation with your psychiatrist so he will decide after proper history. Cause sometimes the relapse is more harmful for persons.

Hi,
There are two modes of treatment medical and psychological,
And if both are taken side by side, the need for medicine would decrease with time.
Consulting a psychiatrist who also does psychotherapy would be better for you.
And it would very well be possible to discontinue medicine with time.
Regards

yes there is bulk of patients who are now living healthy life without medics for long time..But Mood disorder is higly relapsing means it comes time and again. And once you get full pledge treatment for suffucient time and you are symptoms free for more than 1 year months then trial of stopping treatment can be made..moreover mood disorder is psychological disorder like any other physical disease eg Hypertention which would also need long term therapy.if we can take long term treatment for hypertion, diabetes then why not for mood disorder...
