Asking For Husband, Male 28, karachi

my husband has symptoms of ocd. doctor prescribed him seipil 50mg, seradap 10mg and adfolic and said that in 6 to 8 weeks he will be completely fine and gradually he will decrease dosage. when he started taking medicines his condition was getting better but then he stopped taking medicine and now his symptoms are increasing as it was before the treatment. he is not ready to visit the hospital again. My question is Can i start giving these medicines again for 1 month straight? Please help me regarding the dosage and treatment time?

It would be better to have consultation with psychiatrist ,rather then starting medications by your own .

If the patient is not willing to visit then the immediate family member can choose the option of online consultation.
if he responded well on the medications you can restart and Follow him Up again.

Dear sister ,in my opinion this combination is usually considered as to increase side effects and Not a common practice to treat simple OCD. So it will be hard to comment on why was it given to your husband. It will not be safe to take advice onine without a proper assessment . Or consult same doctor by phone appointment / you go and tell the history as that doctor has seen your husband and will know the case. Good luck

As per current guidelines the combination is not first line to treat OCD. However as you noticed improvement it can be done by keeping a drug from this combination and adding another from first line treatment. Relapse is due to leaving medicine before completing the course required. Take online consultation for examination and prescription.

usually people stop taking medication when they start feeling better. these medication should be taken for a longer duration to prevent relapse. i recommend you to have a brief online consultation session so i Get to know the precise symptoms that have appeared. if they fulfill the diagnosis of OCD we can start him on medication he had improved on previously.
we will start from low dose with one tablet daily and see the results.
