Talk to Psychiatry on OCD Medication
Asking for Self, Male, 20 years old, peshawar
i am taking clomipril 150 from 4 weaks and 5 days. i started from 100 mg and after 3 weeks increased to 150. now i am in week 5 and my ocd is not improved. the frist 3 weaks my ocd got worse on it and then in weak 4th my ocd came to that condition which i had before starting clomipril. but not improving. what should be done any advice or reason why its not working

Some need slightly higher dose,Others more than one medication.
Many get better ultimately If patient is psychoeducated by his doctor and some psychological techniques are taught as well

i am currently taking effexor xr 375 mg for depression too. and 150 mg clomipril. as i said my ocd is not improving with it so my psych told me to increase clomirpil dose or add fluvaxamin with my current effexor dr 375 mg and clomipril 150 mg.
are these 2 option are safe to apply ?

I am sorry to hear that you have not responded to 150mg of Clomipramine. I undersatnd it must be hard for you. You can talk to a psychiatrist, who can either increase the dose, add another medication like Citalopram or Risperidone with Clomipramine. There is also option of considering Psychotherapeutic approaches like Thought blocking and Exposure and Response prevention. I would strongly advise that all of the options I discussed are monitored by a Psychiatrist and should not be tried on your own. I hope this reply helped.
