Talk to Psychiatry on OCD Medication Duration

i have been prescribed clomipril 150 mg for ocd. i want to know that how long medication should be taken for ocd.
Question 2 : and if the ocd gets better with medication than we should stop medicine or not
You should continue this medicine atleast for 1 to 2yrs even if you feel better.

in OCD the medication has to be continued even after remission of symptoms. Duration of treatment depends upon duration of illness,severity of symptoms, comorbidies etc. Better to be in touch with treating consultant.
Abrupt stop of medications shouldn't be done. Stoppage of medications should be by consultant advise
1.for atleast 1 yr
2. not to stop, to be taken prophylactically for minimun 6 months after improvement.
