3 years is a long time. Tappering iff shoukd b as slow as possible and in regular way. Suggest half the dose for 1 month and then take half tablet on alternate days for second minth before stopping . Possiblity of Insomnia ( lack of sleep ) and restlessness / irritability needs to be managed by healthy diet, routine , excercise and relaxation breathing excercises and , of course committment to come off. Good luck

Congratulations ... u have taken the first step in right direction....thinking on quitting it...
Let's help u in this journey.....
Lexotanil has bromazepam which is short acting benzodiazepine....
Ideally patient should be shifted to equivalent dose of Long acting benzodiazepine like Diazepam( Valium) and then reduce it according to tolerability....usually 1/8 is reduced every weekly or two weekly.... Sometimes other medicine also need to be added according to need.....U should ideally consult a psychiatrist before that to formulate individualized plan .....

Good Luck ?
