I m suffering from depression since last 2 yrz i didnt consult any psycologist or psyciatrist now i m expecting its my 5th month and my gynae suggest me to visit any psyciatrist due to my condition which is worsening day by day nw psyciayrist has suggested me to take depricap and tryptanol i want to knw that is it ok to use these medicines in pregnancy?
You should have asked this from psychiatrist you consulted and who prescribed medication
Yes madam. These are safe. Do not worry. Continue these medicines. InshaAllah you will be alright and will have good health. These should be changed when you start feeding your baby. But for now in pregnancy these are safe.
its ok to.use medication if really needed and 2nd trimester is safer as compared to first.untreared depression can have an effect on baby .we have to weight risk and benifit of medicine in pregnancy .i personally avoid tryptanol
