any treatment without sedative SSRIs or normal medicine or therapy for above mentioned problems
welcome and thank you for your concern, I would suggest you should visit a psychiatrist for proper assessment as a first step and then discuss the possible treatment options for said problems, in psychiatric disorders there are two types of treatment pharmacotherapy (medicines) and/or psychotherapy (counselling) this depends upon the diagnosis, symptoms severity and some other factors which can be discussed with treating psychiatrist if assessed properly, and all SSRIs are not sedatives. thanks, regards

Dr sab I've a long history.. Visited one two psychiatrists in Quetta, D. I. Khan... Sir I've read that there is no treatment for ocd... It's controlled with medicine for some time but relapse is there and relapse could be more worse.. It's affecting me badly now n particularly POCD n Religious ocd... I can't tolerate sedative ssris as I've a government job.. M feeling helpless
All SSRIs are not sedatives. There is a range of meds that can be used in ocd. N plz keep it in mind it is a treatable. U may also take psychotherapy if u r reluctant to use meds. But plz do visit a psychiatrist for proper assessment. N don't lose hope. It is quite treatable
a combo of medication and cognitive behavioral therapy can help you out
you can consult Prof Dr Akram Hamdani at CMH Quetta for this combo, they have a team of psychiatrists and psychologists
