hello to all psychiatrists.i was chronic major depressive patient during several years of treatment i got serotonin syndrome one year ago and doctor advised me to stop medicine as i was symptom free and felt wonderful for seven months i remained symptom free doctor prescribed lamictal because i asked her m afraid of relapse as my illness was genetic then 2 months i worked okay on it then felt milder depression he prescribed brintellx 10mg which i used to take in past felt better but not that much as i used to be when i became symptom free i took 20mg myself to enhance effect then i felt heaviness in head,too much sweating itchy skin, confusion,akathesia for just half an hour early in morning i shifted to lamictal lowest dose but same symptoms i am feeling and its been 3 weeks now. any sort of medicine like an antibiotic if i take these days i m feeling more akatheshia itching.
pls consultation with psychiatrist and review your medication.

if you've developed itch, kindly stop lamotrigine Lamictal immediately and take any antihistamine antiallergy like soften or rigix for a week only. Try counselling sessions CBT and relaxation techniques. Visit a psychiatrist for reassessment and advice.

If you have the symptoms without being on medication for last 1 month then this might be due to unresolved psychiatric issue or either antidepressant discontinuation symptoms.

There are different modes of treatment for treating depression. One of such is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy introduced by world renowned therapist Aaron Beck. Though it takes time, many sessions but very effective in the long term. You can go for it. Don't worry.
