Aslam Alaikum I have been taking clonazepam 2mg since 2015, i tried to taper but couldn't do that in results i m suffering from depression, it was prescribed by my psychiatrist. Tapering off can't be done by yourself. You need to consult your psychiatrist. If you are willing to taper off and you have strong will power than you can do it. But your Psychiatrist know your condition very well. If he agrees with you for Tapering your medication then along with the help of psychiatrist, your will power you will also need psychologist because Dr. will review your medicine related situation and psychologist will help in emotional health which is related to Tapering off & will boost your will power.
