Consider counselling. But don't do what he wants because it will condition him. And he will repeat this behaviour in future as well to get what he wants. Admit him to psychiatric facility if needed. And consider therapy.
its not time for asking, time to take step for session or psychological treatment only.

I would recommend you to go for physical sessions bcz it's a case of suicide and he needs great attention and care at home and other places and remove every sharp and harmful object from his vicinity and if he is willing take him to the psychologist for the assessment of his behaviour but do not force him bcz these patients can get triggered with any comment and act easily.

Hi there
Hope you and your family are doing well. It is best that you take your cousin to the closest clinical psychologist available in your area. However if it is not possible do to so make sure that your cousin does not have anything that he could harm himself with around him or in his room. if there is a potential harmful thing in his surroundings it is best to remove it and make sure you do this when he is not around or is out of the house so he does not see you or his family do this as it will only infuriate him. once he is in a state that he begins listening or understanding talk him into seeing a therapist.
The first step that needs to be done is taking precautionary measures to avoid any suicidal attempt by the boy. His parents should not leave him alone and spend most of the time with him by giving him emotional and social support. Instead of showing any anger, strickness and negativity towards the boy, understand his situation and feelings. Talk with him empathetically about his feelings and emotions and validate them without judging him. Find out what is going on in his life and if there's anything that is bothering him, try to solve that problem. Help him see things in a more positive way. Try to show him different ways to look at the situation. Explain why it's important to respect other people's feelings and personal space. If he is a muslim, parents can also explain from an islamic perspective about the consequences of suicide. Other than that, engage him in other activities that he enjoys so that such negative thoughts bother him less and his mind divert in activities. Try to always remains kind with him.

Give him space and try to change his mind and goals. All family members need patience to gain his trust, showing him that you all love him. Only your family will suffer if he attempts suicide. His teacher and her family will not be affected if he cuts ties with them completely.

Assalamu Alikum..I'm Nabeela Kanwal clinical psychologist and a psychotherapist as well as counselor .. your brother needs counselling, as he is of very sensitive age and needs proper guidance.. dye to lack of unawareness of mental health issues we usually commit these types of acts . I'm there for you to treat your brother insha'Allah he will be ok and move on to his life ..
Book an Appointment and we will discuss it during session.
To convince someone not to commit suicide, stay calm and empathize by actively listening and acknowledging their feelings and pain. Offer hope and support by sharing resources like the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK) or Crisis Text Line (text "HOME" to 042-32591427, ). Address underlying issues by exploring reasons for suicidal thoughts and helping identify coping mechanisms. Provide reassurance by reminding them of their worth, emphasizing that suicidal thoughts are temporary, and assuring help is available. Use key phrases like "You're not alone; I'm here for you," "Your life is precious; don't give up," and "There's hope; let's find a way together." If in imminent danger, call emergency services (911). Remember, you can't fix everything, but listening and encouraging professional help can save a life.
kindly book appointment for detailed history and assessment
we actually here have to review patient’s values the way he is seeing himself how he perceive himself, so that his behaviour could be changed accordingly
Convincing someone to not commit suicide requires empathy, understanding, and support. Here's a step-by-step guide to help:
1. Listen without judgment. Allow your brother to express his feelings.
2. Stay calm. Remain composed to provide reassurance.
3. Validate emotions. Acknowledge his pain and struggles.
4. Show empathy. Share similar experiences or understanding.
5. Express concern,"I care about you and want to help."
6. Highlight strengths, "You're strong and capable."
7. Focus on positives,"You have so much to live for."
8. Offer support "I'm here for you, always."
9. Suggest counseling. find a therapist for him.
ok , kindly make an appointment with a psychologist he/ she give him counselling session that can be helpful for your brother.
