White coat syndrome refers to the condition in which person exhibits anxiety symptoms in clinical settings. Buy digital blood pressure checking apparatus, check your own BP and record the readings for a few days, along with the accompanying sensations and feelings you may have at the time of each reading. Then visit your physician for an examination (show him your record). You need to conclusively rule out the presence of any underlying medical issues so you can safely say that it is only anxiety causing your blood pressure to spike.

Number two. Visit a psychologist (or maybe contact one online due to the current climate) and get to the bottom of the anxiety. It's never to late to start working on our issues.
