My mother have lungs infection as per Dr diagnoses, and last time we checked the lungs were 60% damaged, now i want to know if there's any possibility to recover without transplant? And also transplant cost? Thank You.

Whaich type of infection? Usually infections are treatable. However long standing structural lung damage may need transplant.
Transplant waiting list is very long in USA and UK.

It depends which disease it is and as patient age is 51,so transplant option is difficult,as success rate is less and also transplant related medications and complications will add to patient misery.
Kindly give patient data,x rays,ct scans,as there could be other things which can be done and can make her life better.
