Asking for Father, Male, 65 years old, Lahore
He is 65 male with DM, HTN, BPH, Bronchial Asthma (asthma since childhood). Now doctor has advised HRCT chest. Can we get the desired picture of lungs with MRI chest instead of HRCT? As CT scan isn't as safe as MRI, he's 65. Second query, he is having what we say in punjabi ''Khangura'' type thing frequently and its sometimes very long, loud with secretions which. What is this? Please address both queries. Thanks
mri is not for lung pathology
pt should have spirometry to look for severity of obstruction,
pt should visit clinic
Thanks for is not very helpful, when you want to look at provide more information regarding history of asthma since childhood, there is possibility he may developing more airways obstruction .Suggest have chest X-ray & if possible,Lung function may help in management .
