If you are known case of asthma and the symptoms are severe you need to be assessed by Chest Specialist.If you are on inhaler or nebulisation the Dr need to know the treatment.Also how frequently you are using inhaler.Were you able to sleep comfortably without any cough or Difficulty in breathing.Did you attend hospital and admit in hospital?
A detail assessment by Dr will lead you to get good optimum treatment and control Asthma

this could be due to weather or air pollution. continue your medicines.take tablet prednisolone 5 mg one tablet three times a day for one week.
you should be nebulized with clinil compozitum three times a day ,also take serratide inhalor 250 twice daily if oxygen saturation is below 90 then need oxygen
