Mother, Lahore
AoA. My mother of age 50 is having pain in the interphalangeal joints and carpometacarpal joint of hand and it seems little swelled too. (maybe herberden's node and bouchard's nodes). And her both hands become numb also. Mainly this problem is with right hand. She's also a diabetic patient and had her diabetes uncontrolled for a 20 days in last month. Now diabetes is controlled with change of medicine. Is this condition related to diabetes or what it is? (Osteoarthritis or diabetic neuropathy or anything else). Please diagnose it and prescribe medicine.

I have to see the patient to establish the diagnosis
As you wish it can be eitherway
It could be anything, without seeing the patient, I cannot come in. You can probably get the x-ray of the hands and wrists done and also EMG/nerve conduction study in case you want to explore the possibility of diagnoses that you are mentioning about. If you continue to have any questions in this regard, you can make a telemedicine appointment with us.
It can be diabetic neuropathy or anything else but confirm after complete checkup so better is to take appointment through marham for proper treatment
