Talk to Rheumatologist on Varicose Vein Of Wrist Joint

person-avatar

Asking for Self, Female, 23 years old, KARACHI

I had a severe wrist joint pain since 3 weeks, in starting I can't even tilt my hand nor write anything on paper, gripping pen is so difficult for me and my writing becomes shaky. I didn't understand whats the actual problem. I go to orthopedic, take tablets, wear wrist brace, apply voltral emulgel, but no improvement. After sometime I notice that my one hand is differ from other and little swell in center of wrist joint. And one vein is above round bone of wrist joint but other's hand vein is normal. Suggest me which doctor I should consult, what is the reason behind this. I am having exams next week, and I am unable to write. Pls tell me what to do.

you need to consult an orthopedic surgeon or musculoskeletal specialist for proper evaluation and diagnosis.

Salam
I think you have dequervain tenosynovitis which is common in writing hand. To confirm you need mri hand and wrist. Once confirmed can have intra tendon injection.
In the short term you can use ice pack to cool it down few times per day.
Please consult on line if need more proper assessment.
