Talk to Speech Therapist on Speaking Issue

My son is 2.5 year and has not started conversation. He remembers almost all ABC and numbering UpTo 4 and speaks it too whenever he wants but no conversation.. he makes proper eye contact, can follow simple orders like close the door and also comes whenever his name is called.. he makes me understand what he wants by non verbal gestures like taking my hand to the thing he wants etc.. m highly worried why he does not make any conversation as I don't feel he can't speak it's like he does not want to.. plz guide
