Talk to Speech Therapist on Speech Stammer
Asking for Self, Male, 23 years old, Lahore
Hi, I'm 23 years old, I have mild-moderate stammer in speech from about 7-8 years. I have done speech therapy for years with no improvement. I also did anti-depressants from psychiatrist for depression, she said it will also help my speech but on temporary basis it got worse, but now its same as before. Can someone give me clinical advice what to do, eg. checkup, ENT, dental, or medication that might be helpful. Thanks.

Consult speech therapist and if you not getting benefits from sessions tell them they will use different strategies. Because there are lots of techniques which can be applied on patients. Thanks.
stammering will be better only by using speech therpay, you need to talk to your speech therpaist about the more other therapy techniques..

you need to desensitize your self by using mirror talk or use your stammerer words in your daily life .

You need to rule out the real cause of stammering and that is only possible in 1:1 session. You should consult a competent Speech therapist.

Hi there, definitely it comes under Speech Therapist domain. You must consult and comply with the techniques and advice your therapist gave you. You can also consult to psychologist as in some cases psychological stammering also occurs due to some sort of psychological factors. But as per my knowledge medications would not be helpful in the long run. May Allah help you. Kind Regards
