Talk to Spinal Surgeon on Disc Herination At L5-S1

i have sever pain in my lower back that also causes numbness in my legs.. it is not possible for me to stay in same position for some time.. MRI scan reads: " 1. disc dessication changes noted at l4-l5 level 2. central annular tear noted at l5-s1 level. 3. posterior disc herination noted at l5-s1 level having central component causing impression on anterior thecal sac.." i have visited two to three orthopedic surgeons and have been on medication for 7 to 8 months but did not find and relief from pain... i have been suggested to go for epidural spine injection that i am scared there any other treatment or is this the last option? kindly give your suggestion
