Asking For Sister, Female 19, Khanpur, Rahim yar Khan
She got to know that she has phyllode in her right breast after FNAC test from MAYO HOSPITAL L, LAHORE. Some general doctors there ask her to get her surgery done and know another surgeon tell her not to remove the phyllode because it's not solid, painful and cancerous. So my question is; is it really safe to let the phyllode unremoved?
Surgery is needed :sure

Phyllode has high cancer of malignant transformation, needs to see medical oncologist to review reports and decide about it,Surgery is best option
phyllodes needs to be removed.. histopathology rules out chances of cancer.. it is benign but has malignant potential.. its better to go for surgwry
Remove the tumour. whoever says 'di not remove' is not a surgeon.
phylloods should be removed
There are various parameters for deciding it. benign phllodes can be kept for longer times but eventually removed. in your case one needs to evaluate the type of phyllodes and instead of FNAC trucut biopsy should have been done
consult general surgeon
can you share fnac report?
Probably best approach is to have a core needle biopsy which may reveal which grade of PHYLLODE is it out of 3. If not there is no harm in getting excised meticulously and cytological examination by a competent cytologist.
Surgery is better option
