Certain conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, or problems with your vision, thyroid, nerves, or blood vessels can cause dizziness and other balance problems. If she is diabetic and hypertensive then postural hypertension is also a cause of uncontrolled balnce and also she is 72 yrs old some age factor is also considered. And at this age muscle weakness, some medications ,impaired posture, gait problem and the biggest thing in this age is fear . “ fear of fall”. These are all the causes of uncontrolled Balance. Consult near by your therapist for better opioion.

you must need a proper neurological Assessment by some good Neurologist. if not then go to some good Physiotherapist specialized in Neurology or have good experience in Neuro Department. as your patient condition needs proper assessment related to cerebellum like coordination balence etc and Cervical spine. then go further investigation or treatment either exercise, medication or anything else.

I’m sorry to hear about the balance issues she’s experiencing. It’s good that you’ve already consulted both a neurologist and an ENT specialist. Since they haven’t found any specific issues, it might be beneficial to consult a physiotherapist who specializes in balance disorders.

Physiotherapy for Balance Problems:

Vestibular Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT): This type of therapy focuses on improving balance and reducing dizziness through specific exercises. It can help retrain the brain to compensate for balance issues1.
Balance Exercises: These exercises aim to improve stability and coordination. They might include standing on one leg, walking heel-to-toe, or using balance boards2.
Proprioceptive Exercises: These exercises help improve the body’s ability to sense its position in space, which is crucial for maintaining balance2.
Strength and Mobility Training: Strengthening the muscles, especially in the legs and core, can help improve balance. Mobility exercises can also help with navigating different terrains2.
Environmental Modifications: A physiotherapist can provide advice on making the home environment safer to prevent falls, such as removing tripping hazards and installing grab bars2.
Use of Assistive Devices: Depending on the severity of the balance issues, a physiotherapist might recommend using walking aids like canes or walkers2.
It might also be helpful to consult a specialist in vestibular disorders if the balance issues persist. They can provide a more targeted approach to treatment.

I hope this information helps. May Allah grant her a swift recovery. If you have any more questions or need further assistance,
