Asking For Wife, Female 32, Lahore
My wife, most of the time stay silent and feels unhappy, she wants to die asap. Her elder sister died 2 yrs before our marriage. My wife lives in imaginations of sorrow, I tried my best to make her happy but after 1 or 2 days she again went back to thoughts. She even don't know how to make husband happy but somehow I am managing. If I take her to psychiatrist will that consultation emerge as positive for her? Otherwise please guide me what kind of treatment she needs. We have two kids and all the necessities of life.

She seems to have Depression with prolonged bereavement. It is an illness and It can be hard for herv to keep normal life and not able to care about you or family. Good news is that it can be treated if she is willing to get assessment and medication with therapy
