Asking for Mother, Female, 66 years old, Karachi
My mother had tia on Sunday, forgot everything, we went to emergency, all reports are clear, further advice, when she will remember things fully. We're giving stat-a tablet
please consult neurologist, she needs proper longterm medicatiom
This needs proper evaluation: when you say all reports are clear, please specify what tests were done? Did she have brain imaging? What kind? Did she have carotid Doppler scan? Echocardiogram and ECG? And what blood tests were done? In addition it is important to know her background medical history, does she have any other medical problems like diabetes, high blood pressure or anything else? What medication was she taking. a detailed history of the present situation and clinical examination of the patient including memory examination is also needed. Without these , it is impossible to answer your question, when will she remember things? By definition a TIA ( transient ischemic attack) is a temporary blockage of blood flow to the brain and all symptoms should resolve by 24 hours. If the symptoms persist beyond 24 hours, I would doubt the diagnosis as this does not fit with TIA and it is probably something else.
your daily routine? sleep schedule? diet? screen time? any stress? diet?
