My kid is 5.5 years male and is suffering from fever for a week now. the fever is on and off and goes upto 102. no other symptoms. it happened a month ago as well where doctors suspected the Dengue and prescribed the paracetamol only. now this happens again. what can be the issue?

continuous from one week or there is gap of one or 2 days gap in between of no fever with out medicine

so currently dr prescribed cericef for 5 days. that's done. paracetamol and ibuprofen is also prescribed. so if we give gap in paracetamol, then fever comes again.

since the child's platelete count seems normal dengue fever is unlikely, his blood cell lines shows microcytic hypochromic anemia and the child is most likely to be suffering from either typhoid fever or malaria, definitive diagnosis can only be made after complete history . Blood test including MP and Blood C/S are suggested for further workup.
meanwhile child can be started on syp azomax 7.5cc once daily for 5 days and syp Gen-M DS 5cc twice daily for 3 days alongwith Syp panadol forte
