Asking For Self, Female 24, lhr
I had goiter on one side for last 8 years, I took Thyroxin 50 mcg for 7 years and now my doctors asked me to stop it and get my self tested for 6 months, so I stopped the medicine and tested my tsh levels after each 2 months and the results were quite normal ranging upto 2.5, but now from last 1 month I am noticing that my goiter on both sides is swelling, I checked my tsh levels and they are again normal, Kindly tell me what should I do? should I continue medicine?? I have also done ultrasound and Its Multinodular and noncancerous Goiter.
you should get it checked by a surgeon, it might need to be removed if its increasing in size
Iodine deficiency,Genetic disorders, ,Thyroiditis,Thyroid nodules or cysts,Hyperthyroidism,Hypothyroidism
These are probably the causes of goiter
